The new innovation imperative in a networked world – Silicon Valley

November, 2009

During this foundation class, collectively, we went out on an exploration to a place where the edges of many networks intersected – in the workplace, the cities where we live and play, indeed in our own hearts and mind. We discovered a networked world and found solidarity with a vision of connectedness that has the promise of being universal in scope. Our shared agenda was rich and ambitious: cognitive studies, technology evolution, mathematics, urbanism, performance arts, and collective action all combined in an integrated curriculum to a shared understanding of the new rules and roles in the connected world.
